Mapei, a producer of adhesives, sealants and chemical products for the construction sector, launched a solution at The Big 5 2013 that enables the recycling of concrete without residue

The event, which was held in Dubai between 25-28 November 2013 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, provided Mapei a platform to demonstrate its new Recon-Zero system.

According to Mapei, the solution allows complete recycling of the returned concrete from a job site to the batching plant within minutes.

The new Recon-Zero system prevents any waste or negative impact to the environment, Mapei stated.

"Mapei has always invested heavily in R&D with the intention of developing environment-friendly construction materials for encouraging sustainable developments in the markets we serve," said Stefano Iannacone, managing director of IBS-Mapei.

"The Big 5 Show, being a premier platform bringing together thought leaders from the global concrete industry, presents us with an ideal springboard," Iannacone added.

Mapei was also a partner of the International Concrete Sustainability Conference, which also took place alongside The Big 5.
