Strabag wins Omani port infrastructure contract

Strabag Oman was awarded a contract worth US$208mn from the MoTC : Image - Carnival Cruise Deals

Strabag Oman was awarded a contract worth US$208mn from the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), Oman, to build access roads and a range of infrastructure at Duqm port.

According to an official statement, Strabag's subsidiary in Oman would work on creating access to the shipyard, docks and warehouses which would involve constructing a six-lane, four-lane and two-lane expressways and access roads leading from the main Duqm-Mahoot highway to the port facilities.

Water , power, telecommunications

The company will also construct drinking water and fire-fighting water lines, wastewater systems and irrigation systems, as well as power and telecommunications infrastructure.
