Construction equipment maker Bobcat has announced it has launched a new range of rigid-frame telescopic handlers, the new 14 metre T40140 and 18 metre T40180 models

The latest telescopic handlers from Bobcat have been designed to increase maximum lifting heights and come in in both stage IIIB and stage IIIA versions, the American-based manufaturers said.

According to Bobcat, the T40140 model is powered by the 75 kW (100 hp) Deutz TCD 3.6 L4 diesel, which uses exhaust gas recirculation and a diesel oxidation catalyst solution so as comply with new emission standards.

The T40140 features a maximum lift capacity of 4.1 tonnes and and lift height of 13.71 metres, while the T40180 telehandler has a maximum lift capacity of four tonnes and a maximum lift height of 17.5 metres, the company stated.

The handlers? hydrostatic transmissions are 95 per cent, providing high power together while also being fuel efficient, Bobcat said.

Bobcat also added that the hydrostatic transmission makes it possible to place a load to the exact millimetre.

Both machines feature the Bobcat side-shift system so there is no need to reposition the machine if it is not aligned with an opening, the company said.
