Plant equipment and machinery hire service Nixon Hire showcased its new telehandlers at The Big 5 2013

The UK-based company, who has an outdoor stand at the event, which took place between 25-27 November, stated that the new telehandlers would increase the company's fleet by a further 107 machines.

The new telehandlers are expected to reduce the age of the fleet, which means customers will be provided with the newest technology and safety features, while also having reduced occurences of downtime due to essential maintenance.

"The Big 5 Exhibition was a big success for us. It was a fantastic opportunity for staff from the UK and the Middle East locations to meet both existing and new customers face to face. We were able to showcase our most popular products and provide customers with a more practical and 'hands on' approach with the equipment than perhaps a more conventional meeting would allow," said the company's managing director Graham Nixon.

"Our customers got the chance to sit in the machines and see for themselves the high quality equipment which we offer for hire and for sale. We also had the opportunity to hear about the latest market developments and network with current and potential supply partners to our company - both of which are important for us in order to remain market leaders," Nixon added.

The event has welcomed more than 3,000 exhibitors showcasing new products and innovations from across the industry.
