Finnish crane manufacturer Konecranes has unveiled its new CLX chain hoist crane for Middle East customers
The CLX range is ideal for industrial requirements as it is available in safe working loads frm 500 kg to 5,000 kg, stated company officials. It can be altered to suit the preferences of several industres such as general manufacturing and maintenance.
Konecranes officials stated that the hoist crane has durable components and a user-friendly compact structure. There is a high level of safety while operating the machine as well and standardised temperature monitoring, which prevents the motor from overheating. In addition, standard van ventilation leads to improved performance.
The CLX chain hoist also has a new self-adjusting brake, designed for a range of operations. In order to ensure safety, a brake and clutch have also been installed on the same axle to allow the load to stay stable, even if the clutch failed. Another safety feature is the patented chain sprocket that would reduce the stress of bending on chain links. This arrangement guarantees the value of chain life to increase by four times, added Konecranes officials.
The CLX hoist was used for manufacturing irrigation equipment at Valmont in Dubai. Ganesh Pai, procurement manager of Valmont Middle East, said, ?Ever since we installed the hoist, we have not had a single problem. We are satisfied with the hoist and have also ordered a second one to further increase productivity.?
Based on positive feedback across the industry, the company is seeking to make additions to the existing features, confirmed officials. An ergonomic pendant with simple controls would be made from next month, allowing intuitive one-handed operations.
