Studies on a US$311mn logistics project in the Tunisian town of Djebel El West will be completed by November 2012, according to an official from the countrys Ministry of Regional Development and Planning
The two-phase project will consist of the development of more than 210 hectares of land and will include the construction of a dry port.
Youssef Bouhlal, general director of public administration at the ministry, told Zawya, "The Tunisian government will seek bids from investors who wish to participate in the project, which will comprise of a mall, a parking garage for cars and trucks, areas for recruitment, stores, pavements for shipment and green areas"
Djebel El West is located approximately 30km to the south of Tunisian capital Tunis.
"The project will organise the transport of goods between the region of Djebel El West and Tunis," Bouhlal added.
