Bending specialist Kersten Europe will open its latest production facility, Kersten Middle East, in UAE in October 2013

The company has said that work on the new production plant had started in March so that the factory could be opened in the second half of this year.

The facility will be capable of bending steel and aluminium tubes used in the construction of complex high-rise towers and other projects.

Kersten Middle East general manager Mike Minten said, ?As the UAE is an important market for bent steel and aluminium profiles, the new production facility will enhance our current production capacity and help better serve our local customers.?

Minten added that three machines will be used within its plant to serve customers across the GCC.

The Kersten excutive further noted, ?Opening a new production facility in the Middle East is part of our strategy to increase our presence in key markets.

?UAE is one of these key markets, where we have already executed some impressive projects. Bent steel for construction of beautiful landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa and the AspireTower are just a few examples of our references.?
