Siemens expands Jeddah manufacturing facility

Siemens has expanded its low- and medium-voltage panel manufacturing facility in Jeddah to more than 6,000 square metres

Siemens claimed that the new ISO-certified facility has been equipped with top-notch technology and has been built in accordance with strict environment, health and safety standards.

The facility will now contain a highly-advanced testing centre to carry out simulation tests for substation automation and communication systems according to the highest national and international standards.

The facility was originally established more than two decades ago and licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Electricity as a local manufacturer for a wide range of switchgears and control panel products.

Siemens Saudi Arabia CEO Arja Talakar said, ?Siemens in Saudi Arabia is fully committed to the country and its people and we will continue investing into developing the local human capital.

?The expansion of the Siemens panel production facility in Jeddah is another milestone in our constant quest of expanding our manufacturing footprint in Saudi Arabia.?

Siemens noted that it has been active in the Saudi Arabian markets with its partner EA Juffali & Brothers for more than 80 years.
