Rolta wins Sadara engineering contract

Saudi Arabian chemical company Sadara has awarded Rolta International a contract for the implementation of a comprehensive engineering system at the Sadara complex

Sadara said it has selected Rolta for the project at the petrochemicals facility based on its capabilities in engineering and information technology. The project will be managed by a global Rolta team working out of the USA, India and Saudi Arabia, and is scheduled for completion by late 2014.

As part of the project, Rolta said it will leverage its knowledge of engineering work processes, application systems, IT and systems integration to provide a range of engineering solutions which will support process engineering, technical support, process automation and control, asset integrity, analytical lab and standards and document management.

Sadara project manager for manufacturing and engineering systems Taher Nemer said, ?A successful implementation of the engineering system is vital to the support and efficient operation of the Sadara Complex.

The value of the contract has not yet been disclosed.
