G8 Series - Complex Paralleling Gen-Set Controller Platform
DSE’s next generation advanced paralleling controller platform has been developed for multiple complex paralleling applications. The G8 Series provides outstanding group controller flexibility, making the system ideally suited for sites with multiple generators. The G8 Series allows 64 group controllers to be connected within a single system. Each group controller can connect to a maximum of 63 generators. This allows the G8 Series to control synchronising systems with a maximum of 4,032 generators.
Following the successful launch of the G8 Series, DSE is pleased to announce the release of two new products into the series.
The G8015 and G8021 are Windows based Panel PC's running DSE SCADA software. Both are designed for use with the G8 Series paralleling controller platform. The panel PCs are available with 15.6” or 21.5” 1920 x 1080 LED backlit capacitive touchscreen displays.
When mounted, the units offer IP66 protection, and the powerful Intel processor ensures smooth operation. The units are connected to DSE G8 Series controllers via Ethernet cable.
DSE SCADA is a secure DSE software platform that provides advanced multi-set monitoring & commissioning functionality for G8 Series controllers. DSE SCADA is provided with a full software license, pre-loaded onto each panel PC within the DSE manufacturing process. The software can be configured to connect with individual / multiple generators on the same site. Users can gain full system overviews from any remote location with an Internet connection. The software provides multi-set commissioning functionality, which allows users to commission multiple generators.
The panel PCs include several advanced key features for ease of use, which include a powerful Intel Atom processor, a 4 GB SDRAM, and a multi-touch capacitive display. It also comes with Ethernet, USB 3.0, and a USB 2.0, apart from an IP66 front panel protection, a line out - audio system connection, and a panel mount. Users can also expect a Windows 10 IoT Enterprise, a 2.5” SATA Solid State Drive, system status LED indicators, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.
