JCB Power Products acquires UK diesel genset producer

JCB Power Products has acquired the business and assets of diesel generator producer Broadcrown Ltd

The acquisition was to strengthen and extend the range of generators it has to offer, said the company. The new business is expected to function under the name JCB Broadcrown and products here on will be marketed as Broadcrown. The business will offer a full portfolio of products and services, providing power solutions to several industries and sectors. The company specialises in diesel generators and power generation systems providing power from six kVA to 30 mVA.

JCB Power Products director and general manager Jonathan Garnham said, ?JCB Power Products already has an excellent generator range sold through a network of 150 dealers. This purchase offers us a fantastic opportunity to accelerate the growth of the JCB Power Products business by significantly extending the range. It also offers a great opportunity for the fuel-efficient JCB engine to power more generators.?

The company currently offers a range of more than 200 generators ranging from eight to 3,300 kVA ? 35 per cent of which are powered by JCB engines. JCB Power Products can be found in all territories, except North America. The brand operates through an existing JCB construction and agricultural dealer network, but also has specialist dealers who can provide large installations, service and support packages.
