Alstom Grid has won a US$93.5 million contract with Iraqs Ministry of Electricity - Directorate General of Electrical Transmission Projects to design, manufacturer and install the Mosul East gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation.
Alstom has signed a contract worth US$93.7mn with Iraq to build and install a power generation plant in the northern province of Nineveh.
Alstom GT13E2 gas turbines
Alstom has secured a contract from the Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) - the oil-refining branch of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) - to partially upgrade four Alstom GT13E2 gas turbines installed at the 500 MW Ruwais gas - fired power plant in the United Arab Emirates.
Investors will be asked to build and operate the power plants
Iraqs semi-autonomous Kurdish region has invited investors to build power plants to 4,500 MW in the area which would increase its capacity to 6,000 MW.
Saudi Electricity Co. (SECO) signed contracts valued at US$308mn with two local companies to develop power facilities in the kingdom.
