Penspen and JQEC sign power station project deals in Kuwait

Penspen, the UK-based engineering and project management service provider, and Kuwait?s architectural and engineering consulting firm Jassim Qabazard Engineering Consultants (JQEC) have signed an agreement with Kuwait?s Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) for supervision services of five power stations

The project management consultancy contract, worth US$15.52mn, will be valid for three years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Penspen will be responsible for the management and administration of the procurement and construction contractors for the MEW power stations including Doha West Power Station, Suwaikh Power Station, Sabiya Power Station, Az Zour Power Station and Al Kheiran Power Station.

The further scope of work includes residual engineering, detailed engineering (based on requirement), procurement and construction through to the commissioning stages of the power stations.

In this project, Penspen?s global technical expertise and JQEC?s local knowledge are set to help in achieving MEW?s objectives through successful project execution.
