The Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) has announced that it wants to invest in Sharjah?s renewable energy sector
The Japanese delegation visited the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) in order to explore various business and investment opportunities in the emirate, stated a Reuters report.
In particular, JETRO members were keen to invest in Sharjah?s renewable energy projects, noting that location and infrastructure of the city was conducive to business.
Mohammed Al Musharrakh, head of investment promotion at Shurooq, said, ?Shurooq?s key mandate is to promote and facilitate investment in Sharjah. The Japanese representatives showed keen interest in the opportunities that Sharjah has to offer, especially in our fast growing environmental sector. We are looking forward to welcoming a number of Japanese business interests to Sharjah in the near future.?
The delegates also visited the Sharjah Airport Internationa Free Zone (SAIF-Zone) to familiarise themselves with the procedures followed to set up a business in the area, added the report.
