Leading test and measurement equipment manufacturer, Megger Limited, has held a three-day distributor conference in Dubai

The conference was solely for distributors of Megger and SebaKMT products, with participants coming from Asia, Australia, the US and Europe.

Megger acquired cable fault location equipment specialist SebaKMT last year, further increasing the Megger range.

The conference gave distributors a chance to meet experts from Megger, some of whom had travelled from the US, Sweden and Europe to deliver their presentations.

The aim of the conference was to introduce new and upcoming products into the region.

A hands-on practical session followed each presentation, allowing the participants to familiarise themselves with the products they sell and give them the chance to see in detail how the equipment works.

Presenters included Paul Swinerd and David Moore, long-standing members of the Megger team, who flew into Dubai from the Megger Limited head office in the UK to deliver presentations on specific products such as insulation testing and handheld products.

Steffan Larsson and Joacim Skoldin from Megger Sweden also presented products from the Programma range, a company successful in its own right that became part of the Megger group in 2007.

Bruce Buxkemper from the US presented relay testing products including the SMRT range and Greg Wolfe, also from the US, discussed the transformer range.

SebaKMT product managers Hein Putter and Peter Herpertz brought the distributors up to date with cable fault location and diagnostics. Meanwhile, Michael Schulze introduced SebaKMT's water product range.

General manager for the Middle East & Africa, Nick Parton, welcomed participants along with his Middle East team and Andrew Boughtwood, head of global sales of Megger, also attended the event.

Megger Limited produces over 2,500 products and has regional offices all over the world.
