Alkawther and Modon to build desalination plant in Dammam

Alkawther Industries has signed a contract with the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Modon) for the design and implementation of a desalination plant in Dammam

According to a report in the Saudi Gazette, an agreement was signed by Saudi Arabian minister of commerce and industry Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah and Modon chairman of the board of directors and Alkawther Industries chief executive officer, Ahmed Gashlan, in the presence of the Modon director general Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed.

Commenting on the new contract, Ahmed Gashlan said, ?This project represents the beginning of cooperation between Alkawther Industries and Modon. In the coming period, we will be targeting a number of similar projects for industrial cities that play an active role in the development of infrastructure in the industrial cities of Saudi Arabia.

?We completed a restructuring project of Alkawther Industries recently, to be able to keep up with the market competition in Saudi Arabia and serve our clients better.?
