Dubai Aviation awards airport contract to Arabtec

Arabtec Construction was awarded a US$153mn contract by Dubai Aviation City Corporation.

Arabtec Construction, a unit of Arabtec Holding, was awarded a US$153mn contract by Dubai Aviation City Corporation (DACC) for the expansion of Dubai International Airport Terminal 2.

Phase 3 expansion

The Phase 3 expansion will include structural works, mechanical, engineering and site works for Terminal 2's expansion. The project is scheduled to last 25 months, according to a company statement sent to the Dubai bourse.

12th project?

Greg Christofides, CEO of Arabtec Construction said: "This project demonstrates Arabtec's track record in carrying out infrastructure works for Airports where this is the 12th project awarded to Arabtec relating to Civil Aviation Work. These projects included renovation, expansion, civil works and MEP."
