Hill International wins Pearl Qatar project contract

Construction risk manager Hill International has received a US$4.2mn contract from Land Investment & Real Estate Development Company in Qatar for project management services on the Pearl Qatar

The 20-month contract will entail the provision of project management services at the Viva Bahriya and Porto Arabia towers development on the artificial island.

The project will include four residential towers located on the Pearl Qatar island featuring both residential and commercial properties.

Hill International Project Management Group president Raouf S Ghali said, ?We are very proud of the fact that our client continues to turn to Hill with new and challenging projects. The Pearl Qatar will be a world-class development and we are honoured to be part of it.?

The project has a built-up area of approximately 219,000 square metres and an estimated construction cost of US$390mn.

In a similar development, Hill International had recently received a contract from the ministry of foreign affairs of Saudi Arabia to provide facilities management services for the Royal Saudi Embassy complex in Cairo, Egypt.

The three-year contract has an estimated value of approximately US$9.5mn. Hill?s services as part of the contract will include facilities operation and maintenance services.
