Johnson Controls has launched Panoptix, a solution to help building owners reduce energy consumption, improve operational efficiency and comply with the Green Economy Initiative
An open-platform, cloud-hosted application suite, the Panoptix solution simplifies a complex process by collecting data from disparate building systems (building automation, meters, etc) and creates a single, integrated view of building and system operations, according to the company.
Johnson Controls revealed during the product launch in the UAE that approximately 60 per cent of energy is consumed by buildings in the Emirate and that Panoptix would enable operators to make better decisions to optimise building performance.
"Leaders in the UAE are committed to creating a more energy efficient, sustainable future and recognise that building management can help reach these goals," said Johnson Controls vice president, building technology and services, Laura Farnham.
The company has formed an online community for Panoptix users to connect with industry leaders, experts and colleagues to share experiences, news and best practices. To help implement operational improvements and energy-saving measures, Johnson Controls is offering online and phone support, as well as on-site building and energy services.
"Technology trends such as cloud computing and the convergence of building automation and IT networks are providing building owners and operators with easier access to the information to create buildings that work more efficiently," said Farnham.
