Rental Solutions & Services (RSS) has installed 80MVA of rental power in Oman for two power generation authorities to support the Sultanates power grid during the summer period when power demand peaks.

Canadian firm Capgent has signed a US$1.66 billion deal with the Iraqi electricity ministry to build 10 fuel oil-fired power plants of 100 megawatts each to help battle electricity shortages in the country, a ministry spokesman said yesterday.

ABB has won an order worth about US$22 mn to supply electrical equipment and power systems for the Az Zour South power plant upgrade project in Kuwait.
